About Dr. Jane
I'm passionate about making chemistry click for students who've been told it's "too hard."
After 8 years of classroom teaching and 5 years as an AQA examiner, I know exactly where students lose marks and how to help them gain confidence. I left full-time teaching to focus on one-to-one tutoring because I believe every student deserves to feel capable in science.
My approach is visual and relational. We don't just memorise formulas - we understand why they work. I use real medical examples (my PhD was in drug development) to show students how chemistry saves lives.
Outside tutoring, I'm a mum of two and a keen gardener. I love helping neurodiverse students and those with science anxiety.
